Good news to all users of Infinix Mobile devices as the company as planned to release an OTA update in August to upgrade their devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Although the list of devices that will be getting the update has not been announced, it is expected that Infinix Zero, Zero 2, Hot Note, Hot Note Pro and Hot should all be eligible for the update.

A statement from a source from Infinix Mobility read: "Good news guys, the much awaited Lollipop (5.0) update will be coming to Infinix phones in August this year. our team is currently working hard to make sure this update is released on time, test version in July and final roll-out in August. This is as a result of requests from fans and customers."
Although it wasn't clearly stated if it will be an OTA update or downloading the files separately, users should expect OTA update. Some users are already claiming to have started seeing updates. It is worth noting that users with custom ROMs installed might be unable to update Over-The-Air, so get ready to install your stock ROM back before you can enjoy this update. Note that installing these updates can be quite tricky and you can easily end up bricking your device, so wait until the update is official and users have installed it without any problem before you try your luck.
